No person/family should have to use their money on this product. The only thing holding it together was the brake line. Upon inspecting the tire it had completely be severed from the trailer. ( wasting the extra money to tow the car.) While towing the empty trailer I notice the tire on the trailer started to aggressively wobble. For the safety we had to remove and drive the car. The hauler trailer had a tire with extreme wear. Just when you think nothing could make the day worse. (Eventually later the tire completely breaks off from the trailer is held on by the brake cable.) A liter furher into the drive it started to rain. Continuing the drive I noticed the car hauler trailer was having extreme on one of the tires. We had to tape it down for it to stay on the truck. 2 hours later I noticed that the passenger mirror was barely hanging on the truck. 10 minutes into our drive the check engine light came on. When inspecting the truck everything seemed in order. My family and I moved across country and decided to use budget. FOR THE SAFETY OF YOUR FAMILY AND OTHERS. One can only hope that no one dies due to the mechanical negligence of their vehicles.ĭO NOT RENT. they put me in 2 faulty vehicles, inconvenience me and my moving crew, cost me $300.00 more due to holding up the moving crew and this is what was done. Barely left my second location and the check engine light came on with the second truck!! I contacted customer service, rude. First they upgraded me at no charge from a 16ft to 26ft truck, barely made it to the last exit out of town and the truck was over heating and the loudest alarms were going off, the guy at the rental place said drive it back to us we will put you in the 16ft, didn't say park it we will bring you another vehicle, no instead I was put behind by 3 hours and inconvenienced. One and only time renting from Budget, NEVER AGAIN. This was absolutely the worst experience I've ever had renting a moving truck.

I finally got them to say they would give my money back.

Two different customer service agents hung up on me after a total of 2 hours of trying resolve the mistakes (purposeful) that were made at this Budget location. Fast food leftovers, napkins, and plastic bags filled the cab. WHAT A SCAM! Just outright lied to double our fee!ģ. They ALSO charged us for two days instead of one when we returned the car before closing on the same day claiming we brought it back the next morning. We didn't realize until the next week when we were told we had already picked up that reservation.Ģ. When we showed up for the first reservation, they gave us the car for the reservation of the following week and charged us two $75 no show charges for the car we had reserved for THAT DAY. We had two reservations for one day a week apart. Budget Truck Rental Edison, NJ DO NOT RENT HERE! SCAM ALERT!!!!!! Please trust the reviews and save yourself the time, money and aggravation and rent from somewhere else, like UHAUL that is two blocks away from this disgusting Budget location.
